Saturday 23rd July 2016 at The Domus, Beaulieu Motor Museum.
Life and Love Commitment Ceremony for Nicki and Steve
Nicki and Steve had their Life and Love Commitment Ceremony in the beautiful Domus Chapel in the grounds of the Beaulieu Motor Museum. At the beginning of the ceremony guests were invited to bless their commitment rings with love and wishes for their future. Sam their little boy read 'The Little yellow Leaf' which brought tears to our eyes and Nicki and Steve incorporated a hand fasting ceremony, where their family tied ribbons around their hands, symbolising their tie of commitment to each other. A really special moment was when they made their own personal promises to each other.
There was lots of laughter, smiles and tears on a very hot summer's day.
"From our initial meeting Hilary knew exactly what Steve and I wanted for our special day. Her beautifully written words bought a tear to many people's eyes and there was no better person to share our day with. She was kind and patient and just totally unforgettable!"
Saturday 16th July 2016 in New Forest
Garden Wedding Ceremony for George and Tusyan
George and Tusyan had their wedding celebrations in their beautiful garden in the middle of the New Forest in Hampshire. They were surrounded by their family and friends who had travelled from all over the world to attend the wedding.
George and Tusyan incorporated a sand ceremony to symbolise the importance of family and friends to them both and the joining together of their families. There were tears and much laughter during the ceremony and one of their friends read the words from a beautiful song.
"Thank you so much for the email. I have been meaning to write to you to thank you for the amazing service you gave. Just about everyone who spoke to me during the wedding and the following days said how beautiful the service was. The words you chose really hit the nail on the head and everyone said it was one of the most beautiful services they had ever been to. They all loved the Sand ceremony and its symbolism and all commented on how elegant you were in your deliverance.
Please feel free to pass this email on to anyone thinking of using your services. They would be foolish not to. Many thanks again."
Saturday 9th July 2016 at Lordington Lavender, Hampshire
Wedding Ceremony for Rhiannon and Philippa
Rhiannon and Philippa chose Lordington Lavender in Hampshire for their ceremony when the beautiful lavender was in full bloom. It was a truly magical location and as you will see from the photos, we were right inside the lavender field on a warm and breezy day in July.
Before their guests were seated they all took time to 'warm' the wedding rings with their thoughts of love and support for the happy couple. Rhiannon and Philippa chose to incorporate a lovers knot tying ritual into the ceremony to symbolise their lives being joined together, forever. It was a beautifully intimate and natural setting for the wedding and I had the privilege of presenting them with their new names at the end of the ceremony.
"Thank you so much for leading our marriage ceremony at Lordington Lavender. The ceremony itself was perfect (although a little windswept) and we felt it was so special because of the time and effort you put into making it so highly personal to us as a couple. Thank you for being such a calming presence on the day and for guiding us through the process. We're so grateful to you for making our ceremony so memorable."
Saturday 18th June 2016 in Haslemere
Garden Wedding for Nikki and Matt
Nikki and Matt had their ceremony in front of their family and friends in their garden followed by an afternoon tea.
"We just wanted to thank you for the ceremony. We had a wonderful day, and all our guests have told us how lovely the ceremony was. We've had lots of comments on how personal, and relaxed it felt. Really big thank you."
Saturday 11th June 2016 at Sopley Lake, Hampshire
Outside Wedding for Kim and Adam
Kim and Adam chose the beautiful location of Sopley Lake near Ringwood in Hampshire for their outside wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful location and as you will see from the photos, when the bride emerged with her father from the woods, it was a real show stopping moment. Everyone sat on straw bales and although the sun didn't come out...it was warm and dry!
At the end of the ceremony, Adam's colleagues created a sword arch for the guests and the couple to walk through, to send them on their way to a happy future together.
"We want to thank you for delivering such a beautiful and relaxed ceremony. We love the fact that there was lots of laughter and happiness. So many of our guests commented on the fact that our ceremony was so relaxed and intimate and that you created the perfect atmosphere. We would also like to thank you for your commitment in coming to meet with us on two occasions and the time you took to come to the wedding venue for a run-through. The practice run really made us feel at ease the next day. Your professionalism, and kind and warm personality make you the perfect celebrant and we will definitely recommend you to all of our friends."
Saturday 30th April 2016 at Pitt Hall Barn, Basingstoke
Wedding Ceremony for Laura & James
The beautiful Pitt Hall Barn was the stunning backdrop to Laura and James' wedding ceremony on a beautiful warm day in April. They decided to include a sand ceremony in the day to symbolise the importance of family and friends in joining their lives together.
"As soon as we met Hilary we knew she was the celebrant we wanted with us on our big day! Her knowledge and calming persona put us at ease. We didn't know what to expect of a celebrant ceremony, we just knew we wanted something special, something unique and something very us. After our initial consultation we knew that Hilary would be able to deliver this!
Hilary took the time to get to know us and worked with us to create a bespoke ceremony which many of our guests commented was one of the nicest ceremonies they had been to. Her words were beautiful and delivered in such a professional yet warming style. We wrote our own vows, chose readings and decided to hold a Sand Ceremony. All of which Hilary cleverly weaved together and the result was a lovely mix of ceremony, ritual and us which flowed really well.
Our ceremony is one of my favourite memories of our day. I have been to so many textbook registrar weddings which have felt like they are part of a production line and where I couldn't wait for the ceremony bit to be over. So it was really lovely when guests commented how moved they were at ours and how much they enjoyed the different elements, especially the sand ceremony.
I cannot recommend Hilary highly enough! I would recommend her to conduct any type of ceremony. You can tell that she really enjoys her work. She is very professional and takes care to ensure that everything is just right which is why she delivers to such a high standard."
Saturday 2nd April 2016 at Tournerbury Estate, Hayling Island
Outside Wedding Ceremony for Elle and Nick
Elle and Nick chose the beautiful location of the woods at The Tournerbury Estate for their outside wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful spring day, the sun shone, the sky was blue and apart from a couple of light aircraft who flew above us for a while...it was an idyllic location!
Elle and Nick chose a hand fasting ceremony to complement their vows which involved their friends and family being involved in the ceremony.
"I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful ceremony last week. We had so many comments about it and despite a few nerves I enjoyed it so much, actually even more than I thought I would. It had the exact vibe we wanted to achieve, it was funny, emotional and meaningful and I will truly treasure the memories of it forever!
Thank you also for the hand fasting, that was a particular talking point and I just loved how fun and interesting it was, can't wait for the photos of that.
Hopefully our paths will cross again in the future, perhaps when we start a family, as we loved working with you and thank you so much for helping us bring such an important part of our day to life."
Saturday 5th September 2015 in Passfield, Hampshire
A Garden Wedding Ceremony for Karen and Peter
Karen & Peter had their wedding ceremony in Karen's parent's garden and they marked the coming together of their two lives with a colourful hand fasting ceremony. The sun came out about 30 minutes before the ceremony was due to begin, so we carried all the chairs from the marquee to the garden at the last minute - such a beautiful setting.
"We really couldn't have asked for a better celebrant than Hilary. She was professional throughout and put us at ease from our first meeting, letting us know that our ceremony didn't have to fit into any kind of traditional format and could really be tailored to suit the kind of people that we were. So many of our guests have said that they loved how personal the ceremony was and many have even told us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! I think a high percentage of the credit for that can go to Hilary! Thank you so much!"
Saturday 14th November 2015 at The Tithe Barn, Symondsbury Estate, Dorset
Wedding Ceremony for Amy and Mike
Amy & Mike had their beautiful autumn wedding on a wet and windy day but the barn was so full of the love, warmth and laughter of their family and friends. They chose to have a Whiskey Box ceremony and a Rose Ceremony to celebrate their union and vows.
"We just want to say thank you so so much for our stunning ceremony. It went perfectly and we will treasure the memory of it forever. So many people were in floods of tears and commented on how beautifully unique and personal it was. Even those less emotional in the congregation couldn't help but shed a tear!
And a couple of people also said to me how wonderful they thought YOU were. The way you presented things, the way you spoke and looked, and the way you conducted the whole ceremony, they thought was just gorgeous. And everybody then understood why we had chosen to have a ceremony of this nature, with an independent celebrant.
I think you may have converted some people! A couple of my friends are planning weddings for next year and they are all re-considering their ceremonies now! We are just so thrilled with how the entire day went and we couldn't be happier. And for us, the ceremony was the highlight. We can't thank you enough."
Saturday 19th September 2015 at The Treehouse, Beaulieu
Wedding Ceremony for Hazel and Patrick
Hazel & Patrick chose a lovely Treehouse in Beaulieu for their wedding ceremony with their reception in the meadow. It was a lovely sunny day in September. They chose a hand fasting and wine box ceremony to complement their vows and exchange of rings.
"Just wanted to say thank you so very much for the beautiful ceremony you wrote for us on Saturday. It was exactly the style and tone we were looking for. Several people came up to us in the meadow afterwards to comment on how lovely it had been"
Sunday 30th August 2015 at Marquee in the Garden
Wedding Ceremony for Nicola and Thomas
Nicola & Thomas had their wedding ceremony in the garden surrounded by their close family, friends and Ozzie the dog. They had asked all their guests to bake a layer of sponge cake. As part of the ceremony each guest then presented their layer and created a naked wedding cake adding fresh fruit, frosting and cream. An amazing sight, great fun to do and a fabulous way to involve their family and friends in their special and unique day.
"Hilary, we would like to say how much we appreciated you being able to create such a wonderful celebration at short notice. The words you put together and your whole approach were truly amazing and very reflective of the intimate nature of Nicola and Thomas' wedding. We couldn't have chosen a nicer person for this part of the day. When we discussed the wedding cake idea, you took this on board in your stride. Thank you for the Captain Corelli's Mandolin reading; it was perfect"
Saturday 18th July Patrick's Barn at West Hoathly, East Grinstead.
Wedding Ceremony for Lisa and Paul
Lisa & Paul had their ceremony on a hot and sunny day under the oak tree in the picture and celebrated afterwards at the nearby Patricks Barn. They marked the coming together of their two families with a beautiful sand ceremony.
"Thank you for the day; it was amazing. Everybody mentioned after the ceremony how lovely it was and Paul and I thought it was perfect"
Saturday 13th June at St Ede's House, Chichester.
Wedding Ceremony for Veronica and Pete
"When we first decided to have a Celebrant conduct our ceremony, we weren't totally sure what to expect, but we need not have worried, as Hilary was amazing. She helped us every step of the way, over and above what we expected.
She helped us to be organised and guided us through the whole process. Hilary got to know us and we got to know her, which made the ceremony relaxed and put us at ease. Hilary is a lovely person and that is reflected in the ceremony she created with us. We would not have changed a thing, it was perfect, and we can't thank Hilary enough for making our ceremony different, special and being a rock for us through the process.
Baby Naming Ceremony for Caaren and Jason's daughter, Bethany: Sunday 22nd March - Romsey, Hampshire.
"It was a lovely ceremony, thank you so much for all your hard work - we had such a great day and with the added bonus of beautiful blue skies, we couldn't have asked for more."
